The office of Laura Worthington-Harbison working in conjuction with H.E.O. (Homeless Eduction Office), a division of the Clark County School District is asking for your help in providing basic necessities and holiday gifts for homeless children throughout Southern Nevada.

Currently, thousands of children in the Las Vegas Valley are living in shelters, cars -- even tents, while still trying to get an education.

Basic necessities such as toiletry items and shoes make all the difference to these children under their current circumstances.

A Touch of Home is asking you to donate such high-demand items as backpacks, tennis shoes or even financial aid to help reach our target goal of 1,600 children this year.

The Laura Worthington-Harbison Team has been sponsoring this event since 1996. Thanks to your support, we have been able to donate the following:

1996 -- Provided gifts for 270 children
1997 -- Provided gifts for 374 children
1998 -- Provided gifts for 614 children
1999 -- Provided gifts for over 1000 children, as well as supplying basic toiletries for 350 children.
2000 -- Provided gifts for over 1400 children, as well as supplying basic toiletries for 500 children.
2001 -- Provided gifts for over 1700 children, as well as supplying basic toiletries for 750 children.
2002 -- Provided gifts for over 2000 children, as well as supplying basic toiletries for 1100 children.
2003 -- Provided gifts for over 2200 children, as well as supplying basic toiletries for 1300 children
2004 -- Provided gifts for over 2300 children, as well as supplying basic toiletries for 900 children
2005 -- Provided gifts for over 2500 children, as well as supplying basic toiletries for 1100 children
2006 -- Provided gifts for over 2600 children, as well as supplying basic toiletries for 1000 children
